over Piazza del Campo.
From your window the square opens up below you — the shell of brick, the Torre del Mangia, the racetrack. A sight few in the world will ever have.
And behind the window,
a drawing room of your own.
Not a grandstand, but the rooms of a Sienese palace: antique chairs, quiet, a glass in hand. The Palio, lived from your own home.
Not a ticket.
An invitation.
While sixty thousand people press into the square below, you watch history from above — from a palazzo window that has belonged to the same Sienese families for generations. A glass of wine in hand, your heart in your throat.
Every window tells
a different story.
Behind every window, a palazzo. Inside every palazzo, Sienese hospitality.
The wait is part of the ritual. From early afternoon the palazzo is yours: frescoed halls, a buffet of Tuscan delicacies, wines from the hills that circle the city. Then the Historical Procession passes beneath you, and the whole square holds its breath.
Our concierge takes care of every detail — from your transfer to the sommelier, from the historian who tells you the story of the contrade to dinner after the race.

The very life of the city.
Twice a year, on July 2 and August 16, ten contrade battle for the Drappellone over three laps of the square. Ninety seconds that Siena spends an entire year preparing for.
The Historical Procession: the show before the show.
Those who have never been to the Palio imagine the hours before the race are mere waiting. They are wrong: for two hours, some six hundred figures in Renaissance costume parade across the tufa — all seventeen contrade, the flag-wavers hurling their banners toward the windows, the ox-drawn Carroccio carrying the Drappellone. From your window, it is a tapestry come to life.
